Hai , am new to this forum.I have applied under FSW on dec 26 2011,Application reached cio on jan 3 2012,My got PER on feb , And mail confirming that my application reached VO on march 2012, But My ecas showing Inprocess ,when i click on it , it showing application received for permanent residence on xxxxx, this was updated when i receive my PER in feb ,since then its not updated , worried whether application received to vo or not.if receved how long it may take to process and what is the next step in the process. Any one who is on same timelines pls update |

Heyy Naaz & Sai I received my file # i received my file # on 22nd Feb 12, and my Medicals, request to submit my pcc, RPRF & passport on April 4th 12, i have submitted everything to the New Delhi office on April 16th and waiting for my stamped passport now.. not sure how much time it will take... also my status online is not updated.. it only shows Medical received.. hope that helps ------------- Xtremlyimpressive |

@ extremlyimpressive i have got request of MR ,rprf and pp,i have a doubt how to pay RPRf fee ,i mean in Cad $ or can i pay in rupees and if in ruppes how much has to pay for DD , and the DD should be made on whom. do we need to send the original passports , how to send these docs to New Delhi, should I send in DHL or through VFS .pls let me know its urgent |

@sai 30 you have to send the original passport, fee can be paid by DD in canadian dollar and you have to send all these documents to delhi immigration section, CHC , New Delhi. @sai30, It is advisable (as suggested by extremlyimpressive) that you pay in Indian Rupees by DD in favor of "Canadian High Commission", payable at New Delhi. @ gocanada, CIC is no more accepting fresh application as the total cap has reached in May, 2012. You need to wait for new instructions that are likely to be announced by end June, 2012. |

Anybody who applied in Feb Month to CIC and got the medical request in June month or earlier. In my Case , the file was reached at Delhi Visa Office in April Starting and not update afterthat..... Request to all of you of this forum, pleas post your progress to get more understanding |

@extremlyimpressive ,@ balvindersingh. i need little clarification. i have courier my PP ,MR and RPRF fee through bluedart on friday and i received mail from bluedart that the courier was delivered on Saturday. But Saturday is holiday for high commission , am worried whether pp has reached or not. if the high commison is closed then what happens to the couriers that reach on holidays ,who will receive to the courier. if u ppl have any idea pls msg me thanx |

@ Balvindersingh Bro please dont worry and be calm and relax... as per bludart you got teh correct information they must have received your passport on same day even if it is sunday there receiving dept works 24/7 embassy will be closed but receiving dept will be open and they will receive you package and route it to the right dept... you may receive your stamped passport and landing doc's within 5 weeks.. i already landed in canada 9 days ago.. enjoy and start preparing for your journey.... ------------- Xtremlyimpressive |

@ Sai30, CIC, New Delhi received all documents through POST BOX only (as you could notice their address). Blue Dart has delivered your documents through POST BOX and this can happen on any day. CIC would collect the same on their next working day, and there is nothing to worry about. Congratulations,,, shortly, you are going to be Canadian PR. Regards, |

@ balvindersingh please don't get tensed .it varies from case to case. My friend who applied 10 months ago did not get the medicals till now.back ground checks might be undergoing. u may receive the medicals in July middle week i guess. |

@ samiiz25, Once you send your complete application package to CIO, NS, Canada; the next step is your application gets evaluated for its completeness by immigration officer. If it is complete, it is evaluated against selection criteria. If it is through, you would receive an email from CIO, NS, Canada informing positive evaluation of your application along with UCI and APPLICATION NO (FILE NO) and your application is transferred to concerned VISA office (that you have stated on your application). If your application is rejected based on incomplete forms / insufficient documents / not meeting selection criteria / beyond cap of your NOC, it will be returned to you along with processing fees. Most of Post July-2011 applicants have received an email from CIO, NS, Canada within 3 to 4 months after the date of submission. In your case, if you do not receive any communication, you can write to http://in.mg4.mail.yahoo.com/yab-fe/mu/MainView?.src=neo&themeName=img-clouds&stab=1341983907007# - [email protected] E-case will be generated only once UCI and APPLICATION NO is generated by CIO. @samiiz25, As I said in my previous post, most of post July, 2011 applicants have received e-mail (in case of +ve assessment) from CIO, Canada within 3/4 months. This period varies from case to case and hence no one can comment on your specific case. If you do not receive e-mail within 3/4 months, you should write to given email id. Regards, |

@sahiba, The next step is evaluation of your application by VO, including background check. If this is +ve, you will receive an email requesting medical examination and RPRF + PP. For post July-2011 applicants, this should not take more than 40 to 50 days. Regards, |

I am not very sure, but generally CIC accepts IELTS GENERAL module. Based on your e-case status (which you have stated in your previous post), they have started your eligibility review based on selection criteria. |

I want to ask in that case, didnt VO call them for interview? Isnt it necessary part of visa processing? 2nd please please please guide me i am not receiving any file number yet after 4 mnths of my application submission. Does authorities issue any reciept on submission of application which shows that application is submitted and how we get that? Actually i have applied through a consultant and he is asking me to wait now but i am getting worried now because four months have passed and no responce from canadian embassy. |

@ samiiz25, Please note my comments in BOLD... Few members posted here that when they submitted their medicals and PCC's as per demand of authorities then VO asked them to suamit their passports. Right? Yes, when you receive an email fro medical examination, it also includes instructions to submit RPRF and Passport(s). VO will ask for a fresh PCC if the time gap between your first PCC (which you would have submitted along with your application package) and medical examination is more than one year. I want to ask in that case, didn't VO call them for interview? Isn't it necessary part of visa processing? VO can call for interview if they seek your clarifications on any of your credentials / documents/any other thing pertaining to your application. However, for post July-2011 applicants, it is very rare. Long back, VO used to call for interview to check language proficiency when IELTS was not mandatory. 2nd please please please guide me i am not receiving any file number yet after 4 mnths of my application submission. The time to receive file no varies from case to case basis. If you do not receive a reply from CIO within 4 months, you may write to CIO, NS, Canada on the email id that I have posted in my previous post. Does authorities issue any reciept on submission of application which shows that application is submitted and how we get that? NO, CIO, NS, Canada doesn't issue any receipt confirming receipt of your application. In case of +ve assessment of your application, CIO will send you e-mail only, while in case of -ve assessment, you will receive your application back through post with reasons of rejection. Actually i have applied through a consultant and he is asking me to wait now but i am getting worried now because four months have passed and no responce from canadian embassy. r previous posts, In one of your previous posts, you have stated that you have sent application fees directly to bank of canada from uae. yes, i have paid canadian application fee seperately direct to bank of canada from UAE and send to my consultant . he attached that receipt along with my application. i paid his consultancy fee also. anyways money is not an issue..i m just worried about application status where my application is rite now? what is happening there ? |

@jatt_Boparai If you get application number what status is showing in Ecas I applied in Feb month till date not received MR. First the status would change to "We started processing the file........." Then MR would come up after 30-40 days. |

@ jatt_boparai first as soon as application is received e cas will show your application is received on xxxxx, after that it may take 45-60 days to transfer your application to NDVO at this time your ecas shows ' we started processing your application on xxxxx' after this stage it will take 30-45 days to get MR .These are not exact time lines but it depends on case to case ,depend on the completeness of application and the info that u have provided . if they get any doubt on the info that u have provided they will cross verify again by the third party ,it takes longer time than expected. hope this info will help you |

@ jatt_Boparai, First of all, we all are friends here so no need to give "SIR" salutation. "We started processing..." status, as it indicates, means CIC has taken your file for processing. Now, it is really difficult to make out if CIC actually does verification before OR after this status ("We started...") update. I have seen 2 cases, where applicants got MR request by email very next day of change in e-case status as "We started....". On the other side, in case of my real younger brother, the e-case status changed to "We started processing..." in March, 2012 and still it is under process. I would also like to inform you that CIC-VO does call applicant / applicant employer(s) where they seek further clarification / verification, not in all cases. Regards, |

@ jatt_boparai, You seem to be much desperate. As I have been telling you repetitively, there is no standard time frame for processing application. If two applicants have applied in same months, it may so happen that they receive MR with time gap of 2/3/4 months !!! So, even if applicants who have applied after you have received MR, does not guarantee that you too should receive it. And there is no harm writing to CIC, NDVO. @ members I applied in Federal Skilled Worker under PhD student category. My file was received on 28th May, 2012 in Nova Scotia. I got my file no on 11th June. After that I did not receive any news from CIC. It would be really great to know others status... |

Hi everyone. I applied to the FSW in Feb 2012 under the PhD stream from within Canada, my application was deemed eligible for further processing in May 2012. Since then, no communication from any VO. I had been notified that my file would be sent to a visa office, but not to which one. I'm expecting a child for Dec 2012, so I sent a letter to the Sydney office in June to that effect, since I didn't know my file had actually been sent to Ottawa (which I discovered by calling the call center). I emailed the Ottawa office about this, however, they state that they do not reply to emails if the timelines are still within standard processing times. In this case, how can I know they will actually take the information into account? In addition, I wasn't able to find the processing times for the Ottawa office anywhere. I'm hoping that I'll receive my MR a few months before I give birth, but as time passes this seems more and more unlikely, although it might still be a bit early in my case. Does anyone here would have any info that could help, or similar experiences? Thanks! ASG

@ ASG, At a time of making application, you must have stated VISA OFFICE on relevant forms. CIO send approved applications to stated VO only. I am not sure, but without VO details on application forms, your application remains incomplete and hence liable not to be processed. Further, for any kind of correspondence with VO, you need to state your FILE NO. Ideally, you should use online portal to send your queries. Regarding Babay Birth, there is nothing to worry about. Just inform relevant VO in writing that you are expecting a baby in December. I had applied in September '11 and I received FILE NO in November '11. Immediately, I informed about my baby birth to VO just before his birth in end No. '11. In response to my intimation, I was advised to update required documents and payment of fees to include my baby in my application. I did so in Jan'12, and got MR in April '12, and PR in June '12. Dear All, I applied in January & got my E-cas from March in 2012. As on today my status is : - Medical +PCC + PRFP (+1 for spouse) +PP ( both old & new, along with the family) submitted around 8 weeks back) - "The Medical results received" updated in the E-cas status around 5 weeks back. Kindly let me know, from your experience, that now how much time it might take to proceed to next stage of processing?

Hi bhavikham, thanks for your reply, it was very helpful! I stated the Buffalo office on my application, which I sent to Sydney, which is why I was surprised when I learned that my file was in Ottawa. I informed the VO office by mail and email several times (and I did include my file number), but they never confirmed they got the information, which is why I'm a bit worried, as I feel that in such situations, they could at least give confirmation. Now, was your baby born in Canada? I will be giving birth in Canada, so my baby should be Canadian and not considered for "immigration purposes", but rather just so that Immigration Canada can note that we're a family of 3 and not just 2 people. Congrats on your PR! Seems like it went quite well!

@ASG, It is really strange that you have not received any reply from VISA office. In my case, I had written to CIO, NS, Canada office and I received their reply within 15 days, stating that my file was transferred to VISA office (New Delhi) and hence I should contact VISA office. Accordingly, I wrote email to VISA Office, and within 25 days, I received a detailed reply informing me the procedure to add my child to my application. Since my child was borne in India, I very much needed to add him in my application. However, in your case, your child will take birth in Canada and hence you just need to give an intimation to Visa office after the birth (along with birth certificate copy). In my case, everything went very smooth.. right from submission of application to name addition (of child) to receipt of PR. Regards, |

@samiiz25, 'Backoog' means a stack of several applications. CIC has several applications pending for processing at their various VISA offices, which is due to huge intake of applications against their limited capacity of processing it. Due to this, CIC needs more time to process each application. If your application is filed prior to February, 2008 - as per the Bill C-38, it is likely to be rejected, if decision on your application is not made till 30th March, 2012. Regards, |

@prvermas, Generally, it takes around a month time to receive PR after submission of RPRF+PP+Medicals. So you should receive your PP(s) back with VISA stamp anytime now. Regards, |

thanx buddy! i have submitted in march 2012. but still didnt get any responce from their side. i am really worried now. what does it mean? even if application is rejected or returned still i dont know wat is happenig there? |
