Dear Kato

It was really nice to see you on this new forum. I am thankful to your reply to my previous message. I am really sorry for not being in contact due to move from Germany to UK. I have also received the document request and have to submit until 31 March 2010.I am preparing documents and planning to appear for IELTS exam in January. I hope you will receive some intimation from CIC Berlin soon for your next step.
I need to discuss few things regarding filling the forms, which I will write you soon.
Please keep in touch and wish you all the best.
Regards,
FT

hi ft74,

glad to hear that you received the update letter. i hope you will have gathered ur documents in time and submit them asap. im sure u will perform well in the IELTS. trust me, it's not gonna be tough, but it's just a bit tricky and u've to somehow be prepared.

i don't know if they sent me anything so far (to request for more info or clarifications on my docs). i've been away since the beginning of this month and I will be back after a week. so i will see if they, in the mean time, requested anything.

yea sure u can ask me about the forms. no problem.

good luck to all of us.

Hi Kato and all,

My Greetings! I was wondering why people are away from our old forum. I just realized this week that we have a new forum.

There is an update from my side and I though I should share it. I ordered CAIPS note and here is the summary:

1. Points awarded: 80
2. Interview: Waived.
3. Still in background check (should be done by February), I guess

So I am expecting to receive medical request by March.

What about you Kato? We are almost at the same timeline. You would expect the similar thing shortly.

All the best wishes to all.

kato , what do mean saying SAP Applicants ?
is it SAP Consultants applying from Berlin wanting to go to Canada? or SAP is term you are using for fast track applicants?
Apologies for my ignorance if it is something else I am not aware of .

Hello everyone,

Yesterday, I received an email from CIC Berlin requesting me to submit my passport, proof of payment of right of permanent residence fee and a completed form letter ( the form contained questions about names, date of birth, height and eye color only). Everything is required to be sent within 60 days.

I wish everyone all the best.

I was wondering if someone can help me about attestation of  photocopies is compulsory or not.

ft74, congrats on ur IELTS result.

Dear Kato
Thank you , the only part which I prepared for IELTS was listening. As you mentioned that listening part require practice and in reading part I was not able to manage time.
Did you send your job contracts and pay slips too? Secondly, in Schedule 1 (Backgroud / Declaration) form on page 2 for personal history, do I need to make more copies of this page or I can write further history details on a blank page of my own.
Many thanks
Good luck to all of us

hi ft74,

yea, i didn't prepare at all for ielts and listening part was fast for me. i missed some details of the talks and i scored 7, which took 2 points off from immigration-points-for-language.

yes, i sent job contract copies of my current job and the one's before. i had 3 jobs ever, and i sent the last two contracts. i have also sent payslips of my current job for the last 3 months.

sechedule1: i covered with white sheets and made a copy of only the table i needed. but i have also mentioned in the main part "the table continues in the next attached sheet." so, it doesn't matter, u can do anything u want... even a separate sheet of your own will do.

i hope that helps.

Hi All. I was on the old forum, but hadn't been checking in recently.

My mother passed away within the past month, but I haven't mentioned this to the embassy. Does anyone if I have to update them? If I don't have to, I'd rather not mention it to them. They seem to like any excuse to delay an application.

Good luck to everyone.

Dear Kato

Thank you so much for the reply. I am still preparing for documents and waiting for PCC from UK. I have total 3 job experiences, but for the first one which was from my home country, I have only experience letter and no contract or pay slips. Do you have any idea what I need to do in this situation?

Secondly, today I have received a letter through post with different name but with my CIC case number from Govt. of Alberta Employment and Immigration department. As I had mentioned Calgary as my intended place in Canada in my application form, they sent me a web link to register for Alberta kit. I have registered for that and they will send me the kit through post.

Did you receive any updates?

Good luck to all of us..

Hi ft74,

no i did not receive anything/update yet.

like i said in my previous reply, i also had three jobs, and i sent: reference letters for all the three jobs, job contracts for the 2nd & 3rd jobs, and recent payslips of the 3rd job. if they have already looked into my file, it seems they don't have a problem so far. so, i think if u don't have payslips/contract for the 1st job, u should be fine... provided u don't count a lot on it, for immigration-points. but then still explaining a bit about it might help.

it's cool that the albertans fished for those who will be destined in their territory. it looks like they are enthusiastic and happy to welcome new immigrants. i filled in toronto and i think ontario is fed up of immigrants... so, no kit for me, from ontario, so far.

good luck to all of us.

Hi all,

i just received medical request. they gave me 60 days. i got it three months after i submitted my documents. i'm excited. but by mistake i cut the form (across the picture and all the way down) when i was opening the envelope. im trying to fix it (with a scotch tape). i don't know if it is going to be ok... i will check with the doctor. otherwise i will have to ask cic-berlin to resend me the medical form.

good luck to all of us!

Dear Kato

Congratulations on receiving your medicals. It is big news of the day. I am really happy and excited. It’s really amazing to get medicals just after 3 months of submitting documents. It also means you submitted your documents very perfectly. I hope you will be able to fix the medical request form otherwise it will not be a problem to request again.
Would you like to share how many points you claimed for each factor?
Wish you all the best

thank you ft74. yea, it was fast and exciting. we are really patient and i think berlin is trying to make up for the time we have lost.

yes, it seems the documents i have submitted are ok so far. i tried my best to submit all the required documents in a single envelope. but i was surprised that they didn't even ask me for PCC from canada. it means no finger prints were needed and only a name-check was enough. anyhow u should also submit all you can and explain in cover letters wherever you think somethings are missing.

i claimed: 10 (age), 25 (edu), 21 (exp), 14 (lang/ielts), 5 (canada experience).

good luck to all of us!

@sdfeb2007, congrats for the success, hope you land Canada soon and join me!
@kato, finally you got the medical call. Great news and almost at the end of the process. Hope, you also finish the process soon.
I am still waiting for the medical. Most probably, my Background check is taking long as we visited many countries. I hope, I will get medical call soon.

All the best to all of us.

Hello everyone,
@kato, the letter I got from CIC berlin says " The processing time will require a minimum of 10 working days. Same day processing is not possible". However, I received my  stamped passport back in less that 7working days from the date it was received by them despite the fact that I currently residing in USA and not with Germany. It might be possible for those in germany to receive same day but I am not sure about this.

@Orindom, thanks for your message.

i got my meds done. the physician said everything is fine and he said he will send the results in a week time. he will be waiting for the blood test result, which is only for hiv and syphilis. the x-ray, urine, and general-body are already all ok, he said.

@sdfeb, thanks. i'v a trip to make in the near future and i wouldn't want my passport to be held at cic berlin.

@orindom, u applied earlier than me. but since u'r married, maybe the background check for u and ur spouse is taking a bit longer. im sure u'll hear from them soon.

@ Kato- Thank you Kato, it’s good you have your medicals done so fast. Hopefully you will get your visa in March-April and it will be the fastest finalised case from CIC Berlin recently.

@ sdfeb2007- Congratulations on getting your visa at last.

@ orindom2004- Hope you will get your medicals request soon. As you already in Canada, it will not be a problem if it’s taking bit longer.

I am still waiting for my PCC from UK and hope will be able to send my documents in couple of weeks.

I wish good luck to all of us…

Hi everyone,

@ft74, thank you for your congratulatory message.

@Kato, I paid the RPRF when I got the request to submit my passport. I didnt receive any request by post for about a month after I did my medical, to confirm if they have received my medical results or not as I was in Kansas, US at that time. I sent an email to inquire. Interestingly, they replied with a request to submit my passport and evidence of RPRF, etc. The most critical thing to note about RPRF is how to make the payment, Please ensure that you pay the exact amount, few euros more or less is not acceptable. This should be very easy if you own a german bank account or reside in germany but this was slight difficult for me because I live in US, bank transfer or wired transfer often involves some unknown or unpredictable amount of charges hence this could reduce the actual amount of money received by CIC Berlin. Eventually, I paid the money through a friend of mine living in Germany and this proved to be the simplest way.

I must admit they are very efficient at replying to emails, in most cases I do get replies in less than 2 days. When contacting CIC berlin, try to write in the subject of the email. ""application: FILE: Bxxxxxxxxx NAMES: xxxxxxxxxxxx""

thank you sdfeb2007. that was a useful response.

yea i was also wondering how i would pay the RPRF. i remember when i paid the application fee, i transefered it from my bank. but, by then, i had the option of paying all the bank charges (includiding the receiving bank's charges). now it says, cost sharing for transfers within europe is a must. so that means they will deduct the receiving bank's charges from the amount i am sending. thank you for letting me know that i can't even pay a bit more than the RPRF amount. i will think of other ways to pay the RPRF.

but i got another question for u. did ur eCas status change to 'medicals received'? if so, how long after your medicals have been sent? thanks.

hi Kato,

My eCas never changed ever since I got my AOR in may2007 until few days after I received my passport stamped, for almost 3years the status was " In progress".
When it changed it became decision made.
"We started processing your application on May 9, 2007.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

@kato-Nothing new at my end, I have to submit my documents within a couple of days.

@orindom2004- As you have submitted your documents to CIC Berlin for stage 2 from Canada, did you send copies of your German residence permit ( expired or still valid German visa ). As I applied from Germany and now living in UK and dont have any valid German visa, do I need to send my copies of expired German visa permit?

Good luck to all of us..

@ft74, no I did not send the copies of German residence permit. But I clearly indicated in my application as you also did the same. In case if you have doubt, you can send as its not going to cost you anything, I hope.

All the best.

hi all,

i just got me the best news. i received a PPR by post today. it was marvellous that things went very smooth ever since i've submitted my documents once and for all. they did not ask me for anything after that (not even a PCC from Canada). so, guys just make sure u submit everything at once, in one envelope, and things should then be fine.

i've a trip to make in a week time, and i will submit my passport in the last week of april.

good luck to all of us!

thank you very much, ft74 and orindom2004. yea things were very smooth. i just submitted all docs once (full and complete) and it looks like they have been fine with them.

orindom2004, im sure it's time for u too. berlin is trying to make up for the long time they made us wait. i saw many people on trackitt getting responses fast. maybe ur case, since u said u are married, is in background check.

ft74, if u got ur docs request in December, isn't time to submit ur docs? u said u were waiting for a UK PCC. maybe u should just send the docs without the PCC... u could say it's on the way. u should know that they start processing as soon as they receive our files. so it's to our advantage if we respond before the deadlines.

good luck to all of us!

Hi kato
I have received my PCC from UK and sent my documents on 30th March and post is delivered at CIC Berlin. I tried my best to provide all the forms and documents requested. Now have to wait and see what will happen next. There is still no change in my online application status. I hope you will keep guiding and updating us.

Good luck to all of us……

hello all,

I am one of the silent observer in the group, i did receive letter requesting to submit all the documents within 120 days, i have some queries,

1) when i applied at that point of time i was still a master student, but now i have finished it, can i claim 25 or just 22?

2) I got married 6 months after my application, she has also completed her master degree can i claim 5 points for that?

3) i have had 6 jobs in total, but first 3 jobs were back in india, for all those 3 jobs, i dont have any contracts in this point of time, i have even tried and get in touch with them but they only agreed to send me reference letter.

anybody with similar experiences(without contracts) out of those 3 jobs actually i am claiming 30 months  of experience, i would really appreciate if someone give me any feedback.

Dear gafa_designs
Here are answers to your questions according to my knowledge:

1)      Yes you will get 25 points for your education if you have finished your masters and you have at least 17 years of education.

2)      Yes you can claim points for your wife if you will include her in your application and she will go with you to Canada. (5 points for a master’s degree with minimum 17 years education)
(Don’t forget to submit the processing fee for your wife and to attach transaction receipt with your documents)

3)      For this question you can have a look at page 4 of this forum where kato did reply to same question asked by me. I also did not submit contracts or pay slips for my job in my home country and just attached an explanation on a blank page and still there is no problem.

I hope this will help. Good luck to all of us

Dear Ft74,

Thanks for super quick feedback, i would like to request you for one more favor from you, is it possible for you to post your explanation to consulate.(no need to have all details)... to be honest i never had contracts back home.. it was more like verbal agreement between us.

Thanks

Dear gafa_designs

I really don’t have any specific format for that, I just wrote them a 2 paragraphs handwritten explanation with heading “Explanation of my experience with XYZ Company”.

In first paragraph I told them that the company where I worked was closed on xyz date and my boss is retired now. Secondly, I am providing his old visiting card with his present mobile and home numbers and he can be contacted on these numbers for verification purposes of my experience.

In second paragraph I told them that it’s been many years now when I used to work there and I am not able to find any of my pay slips or my appointment letter.

That’s all I have mentioned in that explanation. I think you just need to be honest to tell them the exact situation and I hope they will understand.

Good luck to all of us..

Thanks ft74. The numbers listed below should be the minimum that they will give us. Some of my experience is a bit of a grey area because I have one year of post secondary school, plus 11 months of full time work in Canada. According to the self assessment, I don't get points for this, but I'm hoping it will count for something. We might also get more points if they accept my wife's German graduate degree (state exam), although I've heard they don;t recognize this. Anyhow, I assume that we've gotten over 67 points, otherwise they would not have asked for the medicals as quickly.

Good luck to everyone.

i wish you all the best, and good luck to all!

Hi Bigmelon,

Yes, I was in Germany before and have been living in Toronto for the last 2 years. Obviously, there is a difference between Europe and Canada/North America. Life is not easy here in Canada but lot of people get Canadian passport and move to US as job opportunities are better there. However, life is peaceful here although Toronto is very crowdy and too big (and Expensive). You can decide where you would like to land. If you can manage a job before you come then it would be the best. All the best.

Nice to hear from you again. Its also great to know that you landed in Canada. Toronto is really a big city. We are living in downtown so we can live without a car. Otherwise, you need a car.

Hope, you join us in near future soon.
