Now as 2009 is going to over, they have sufficient data to analyze and the new time line for Fast Track (applied after 28.2.08) is published.
It is 2 months for initial review (previously it was 61 months) and Finalization is 1 year (previously it was 75 months) |

Dear All
Canadian Immigration is the first name of "Waiting n Waitings"
When you apply you have to wait for 7 years to get first response for updation documents then 5 months for provisional approval then 6 motnhs for Medicals then 6 - 8 months for visa. Now, after arrival and after spending 3 years immigrant have to wait for passport/citizenship for 1-2 years.
When one apply in young age in 30 years and get passport in 40 years with tears.

Let me put this question on Mahesh.
Dear Mahesh My query goes like this, if you can just answer it out. The thing is, I submitted the updated documents in December 2008 on request by CHC, after that in July 2009, we were blessed with a child, and I added the babys name in my application and submitted the documents(birth certificate, passport photocopy ) pertaining to my new born child along with fees for which CHC sent me the acknowledgement in the form of fee receipt. I never presented them with the fresh proof of funds for 3 family members. CHC has proof of funds which I last submitted them while updating my DOCS in December 2008 which were for 2 members. My query is should I submit the fresh proof of funds right now or wait for them to ask for it. Secondly, last time I showed them my bank savings as a proof of fund, but now I have taken out all my money from my bank savings and have invested it in STOCKS AND MUTUAL FUNDS, so my question is can I show them proof of fund in the form of STOCKS AND MUTUAL FUNDS. Proof of fund can only be in the form of 'cash' or 'bank deposit'. The question arises as how to show proof in 'cash'? So only documented proof can be bank deposit. They are asking for proof of cash that you can bring with you for your use when you move to Canada. So make it safe. If you have already updated, send a copy of updated proof of fund to make yourself on the safer side. There is no point in applying for CAIPS now, as they have not yet started processing your file. Apply for CAIPS after you have got UL and have done updation of documents as only then they would allocate points to your application. |

Hi Guys check this out, CHC has updated its site: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/skilled_workers-travailleurs_qualifies.aspx?lang=eng As per new update time of initial review has gone to 72 months from earlier 61 months, however time of finalisation has come down to 73 months from earlier 75 months. Also currently CHC is processing applications received in DEC 2003 and finalising applications received in Nov 2003. It seems that we need to wait for our UL's little longer than we expected. What do others have to say??? |

I think CIC is trying to make fool of people . How can they start review in the 72nd months and finalize the case in the next ,73rd, month ? The latest timeline posted by CHC Delhi is discouraging. They say they start initial review in 72nd month and finalize the case in 73rd month.CHC hasn't been able to return passports even in six months, how on earth can they start review and finalize cases in succeeding months? With the timeline extending every time i am begining to get discouraged. I have completed 56 months and as per CHC's latest timeline i still need to wait for 16 more months for the initial review,i.e if it doesn't get extended within the year. Nothing is certain for us.
Seniors, i would appreciate if you would advise me whether i should reapply through the fast track since my profession fall within the 38 list and i believe the entire process will be completed within a year.

| Dear Roop, I have just came across a post in 2004 forum, a guy has updated his documents in Dec08 and has still not got any points allocated to his application. So I think you should wait for some more time. However you can file CAIPS as many times you wish by spending $5 through a friend or relative in Canada, so if you strongly feel so you can take a chance, it will not affect your application anyways. OTHERS pls comment if you think otherwise..... |

As per old cases in this forum, it takes even upto one year after UL to get medical+ PPR so it is advisable to reapply under new category, if your profession is in the listed jobs, as new cases are being processed on priority. It will take 6-8 months to get visa under 38 category. |

| Hi sp2004us, If ur earlier application was also in your wife's name, and u reapply again in her name with reference of old application number then reapplication will be considered as continuity of older application and u will get refund of previous money or else it if u had applied earlier under ur name and now wish to apply on wife's name then it will be considered as new application and hence no refund. But i will suggest to take somebody else opinion also on this or u can consult the consulate directly if u have one in your city. |

Hayee Oyee is saying that the cases after April 05 will not be considered, is that true? We all have spent lot of time and effort in getting the certificates, PCC, writing IELTS etc, and also we have spent lot of money in this regard. So will they just bin our application under any circumstances? Also, in the CHC global website the time for finilization for 30% cases in New Delhi shows to be 58 months, where as the time for finalization for 80% cases shows to be 73 months. Does any one know how often is the CHC New Delhi and CHC global sites gets updated? If 2005 cases have such a bad situation, what will be the situation for 2006 cases???

Krisp, CHC is under tremendous pressure to reduce backlog and they have succeeded in that so 2005 applicants will definitely get PPR well within 72 months. Hayee is totally incorrect that post April 2005 cases will not be considered. If CHC was to do such a thing, they could have easily done it way back with easy excuse of recession in hand or when the backlog started building. CHC is morally and principally bound to process all the cases filed with them so no truth in dumping of cases post April 05. CHC site gets updated every 2-3 months. As per current processing speed all cases are taking 6 years precisely. Thanks |

Perry, You must be right with your rational analysis. But people are so depressed with CHC's actions despite them being under tremendous pressures that they tend to ridicule them as in the above case of Hayee hayee ...... . Yes , CIC Canada can not just bin the cases as mentioned by him but the claim of initial review timeline of 72 months and finalization in 73rd month by CHC equally sounds ridiculous unless there is some error in their latest posting. One of my relatives who works for Canadian government had said to me that over the last 4,5 years onwards the priority of Canadian immigration process has been to bring in more White/ European immigrants to Canada than the brown Asians economic immigrants ,perhaps, to maintain a balance in their demography . There has been a tendency to discourage the backlogged applicants so they will either withdraw or will get tired of the never ending wait ultimatley renouncing it. Dear Krisp, Don't get disheartened with latest posting of CHC of initial review in 72 months and finalsiation in 73 months. They have a long process of checking and verification of case history which in no case can be done in one month so by posting new timings hopefully they mean that once your case is picked for final review it will be closed in a month. Process for UL and other things will follow as usual and hopefully it will start 8-10 before completion of 72 months. Lets hope for the best and pray that we too get our UL's early next year so as to keep our faith alive in total process. Thanks perry |

hi i am FP Freakyperson with new name decent one this time. any news on ULs, i have heard from sources in chc that ULs for 2005 will start by feb 2010. so keep waiting, i agree with krisp, but u have to understand t hat there is immense pressure on conservatives to clear the backlog. liberal party is keeping them on tenterhooks to look for a solution. keep waiting that only way for chc. i am really frustrated, have given up on chc already. i dont expect my case to be processed at all, i think they have thrown all backlog in dustbin or our chance will come in 2014 or 2015 till that time there will be hardly people waiting to go. so i have giv en up hope. my aor is 20 june 2005, received only WL no UL. terrible news for all of us. |

Dear Mahesh and every one in this Forum Help me out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I submitted the updated documents in December 2008 on request by CHC, after that in July 2009, we were blessed with a child, and I added the babys name in my application and submitted the documents(birth certificate, passport photocopy ) pertaining to my new born child along with fees for which CHC sent me the acknowledgement in the form of fee receipt. I never presented them with the fresh proof of funds for 3 family members. CHC has proof of funds which I last submitted them while updating my DOCS in December 2008 which were for 2 members. My query is should I submit the fresh proof of funds right now or wait for them to ask for it.Secondly, last time I showed them my bank savings as a proof of fund, but now I have taken out all my money from my bank savings and have invested it in STOCKS AND MUTUAL FUNDS, so my question is can I show them proof of fund in the form of STOCKS AND MUTUAL FUNDS.Please reply my both above queries. Hi Folks, When I filed my application my designation was IT Executive. Then 4.5yr back I changed my Job and joined on the designation of System and Network Administrator and in the same job got promoted to Assistant Manager then Manager and now Senior Manager - IT. Recently I have got married as well and my wife is a software developer and her qualification is B.Tech. I have got H1 stamped as well however no plan to go to US as of now. So far I haven't sent any update to CHC and now my question is whether should I send them the update or wait for the update letter to come. Your expert advice is solicited.

It is difficult to come to conclusion that whether you should send the documents now or later, but in my opinion, you must send your documents stating the change in your marital status and job while there is no need to send funds proof or pcc. Sending the above stated documents will only strengthen your file and help you in getting the required marks as we get points for wife education and work experience, it will not go against you in any case. |

If you are outside canada, you can apply for caips through caipsnotes.com and it will cost you 35$. If some is inside Canada and apply caips for you then it will cost only $5. I ordered it from Nepal and got it with the cost of $ 35 Thanks
