Posted By: jennyyang199394 Subject: When should I marry my fiancee?? Date Posted: 29 Jan 2018 at 10:09pm Hi everyone, I have a question. My boyfriend and I recently got engaged. I am a Canadian citizen under an F-1 student visa in the United States, and he is a Chinese citizen with an F-1 student visa. We plan to move to Toronto after graduating in May. Here comes the question... Should we (1) get married first in the U.S. and begin the sponsorship process, (2) get married, move to Toronto and then start the process or (3) wait until we get to Toronto to get married? Right now he has a V-1 visitor's visa for Canada, and I have a standing job offer from Canada. Any advice/insight would help!! Thank you so much in advance!
