It depends on your specific
situation and the immigration program you are invited to apply for under http://www.immigration.ca/express-entry-immigration-2017/" rel="nofollow - Canada
Express Entry .
If you are in Canada on a http://www.immigration.ca/working-after-graduation/" rel="nofollow - Post-Graduation
Work Permit and have a valid job offer, the employer may still need to
get an http://www.immigration.ca/labour-market-impact-assessments-lmia-in-canada/" rel="nofollow - LMIA
to ensure you qualify for the http://www.immigration.ca/skilled-worker-immigration-overview/" rel="nofollow - Federal
Skilled Worker or http://www.immigration.ca/federal-skilled-trades-program/" rel="nofollow - Federal
Skilled Trades Program. The only time the LMIA is not needed is when the
position being offered is exempt.
If you are invited to apply through the http://www.immigration.ca/the-canada-experience-class-2/" rel="nofollow - Canadian
Experience Class , no LMIA is needed.
Under Canada Express Entry, there are 200 or 50
points available for a valid job offer supported by an LMIA. This means an LMIA
will increase your chances of being invited to apply, whether a specific
program requires it or not.
