Date Posted: 16 Apr 2015 at 8:13pm New to all of this...so bare with me. I am a 58 year old man, who was on Match.com. I have been on that site for bout 9 months. I 56 year old woman, who is here from Manila in the Philippines, as a "live-in Care Giver" We met months ago, and we are truly in love with each other. She wants to full fill her obligations to the family she works for. But it is a 3 year wait. I have been in touch with Immigration in Ottawa. I could become her sponsor, but the family must give her up so to speak? She was a bank executive in Manila, before she came here. I am a retired tradesman, and she would like to return ti her career in banking. What is the next step in regard to gaining landed immigrant status? Thank you Oh, and yes, I understand this is complicated. I'm just trying to make it easier to understand. ------------- DonnyT
