Hello All,

I have a question, based on the new rules of Federal Skill Immigration does a computer Project Manager qualifies for it? The 0213 NOC which is in list is "Computer and Information Systems Manager" and an example title "Computer Projects Manager" is there.

Just wanted to clarify whether a Project Manager in software/computer field will qualify. Please keep in mind that the job responsibilities are same as mentioned in the NOC.

Also, if there is any official source to verify ( I mean to talk to?)

Thanks in advance for replying.

Khan

The official Ministerial Instructions are available at:
  http://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2008/2008-11-29/html/notice-avis-eng.html - http://gazette.gc.ca/rp-pr/p1/2008/2008-11-29/html/notice-avis-eng.html

In order to determine if your job qualifies, you need to consult the full NOC:
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/welcome.aspx - http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/welcome.aspx

Your job needs to match one of the NOCs in the MI and not be a better match to another NOC.  For example, ensure that 0611, which includes "e-business managers", does not better represent your job.

Assuming 0213 is the best match, and you have the required experience, then the CIO should accept your application.

Thanks,
Peter
