What are the chances of getting a federal job in the government or becoming a diplomat after you get the canadian citizenship?

It depends on the job requirements and your qualifications.

Once you have citizenship, your chances are as good as anyone else's... perhaps moreso, if you are going for a position requiring specialized experience that you have gained from abroad.
