Job offer but no PR

Applied for PR  & open work permit on August 10th, 2010. In-Canada Family class Sponsorship. No response so far.
Thought it would come in April now looking more like June according to the Immigration site. 
My wife's boss told me his buddy is looking for crew members to work starting in April. I called the gentleman and he said I have an interview Friday. Not too sure what to tell the guy? I know the only way to work is to get a work permit. Is there a way I can apply for another work permit? I heard maybe the employer can ask Canadian Human Resource for a LMO. Should I even try? I am a little worried I will not be able to find work if I get my PR in June as I live in a tourist town that runs mainly in the summer, jobs are scarce in winter.
