Hi guys I lost my PR..I need help..

Hi there,

My previous ID is 2009 and I had been away for a while so that I lost that ID. Together with ID 2009, I lost my PR status too. That is a sad but common story. Yet I wish everybody here is lucky to have and keep your PR status.

I happen to have a language problem since English is not my mother tongue and I am trying to regaining it somehow.

If someone praises you and says: You speak good French. Which one would you choose as the answer? A or B?
A: Thanks.  I studied it for 4 years.
B: Thanks. I was studying it for 4 years.

Can anyone shed some light on it?
