Hi all I have been reading about different situations but i didn’t find one close to mine. I was in Canada for 4 years and i while i was there i got married but was still on a student visa i didn’t get to changing my status until immigration came to me and issued me an exclusion order but before i left my wife who is Canadian and i applied for a spousal sponsorship, they say it take about 6 to 8 months but i has been a little longer than that...but the main question is i want to go and visit her and be with her on or wedding anniversary i’m i going to be allowed to visit Canada and do i also need to apply for ARC i just don’t know if they will allow me to get a visitor’s visa while the other spousal sponsorship application is in process with CIC. Can anyone help or have advice on how i can go about this |

Hi
1. If you left less than an a year ago on the exclusion order, you would need an ARC to visit. It is extremely unlikely that you will be issued a TRV with an outstanding PR application, as CIC/CHC won't believe that you will only "visit" Canada, as the PR application shows your intention to remain permanently. |

Question for you: how long after your student visa expired did they issue the exclusion order?
