Hi,
I applied for my PR under Provincial Nominee Program in last year in 2016. I got married this year in 2017 and also added my husband's name to my PR file. After marriage, I realised that my husband married me only for getting his PR and there has been no communication between us except the PR process till now. I am in Canada and he is outside the country. We got medical request from CIC today. I am planning to mention him as "Not Accompanying" on my PR file once medical tests are complete, and file for divorce. He does not know about my intention of mentioning him as "Not Accompanying", since I fear that he will not co-operate with me for his medical exam, thus complicating my PR case. My question is: 1) What is the procedure to mention him as "Not Accompanying" after the medical exam? Do I need any signed document from his side? I am sure he will not sign anything for me once he knows about my intentions. 2) Is it too late to make this change in my PR file? 3) Do I need an immigration lawyer? Please advice.
