Hi i hope i wont make this too long but here s our story:
my husband was in canada for 8 years he overstayed his visa, after a few years of knowing each other we got married. in 2016 we decided it would be best if he went back to his country and applied from there through Family class , we had no problem at the airport left normally. after that he learned that he has a warrant for his arrest back in canada (not a serious matter) now we dont know whats gonna happen , does it mean hes inadmissible even if there s no conviction? do you have any advise or maybe seen a case like this? a trp maybe? please help and thank you so much in advance |

In assessing a permanent residence application, even done under the sponsorship process, officers also assess the eligibility of the applicant, making sure he is not inadmissible to Canada.
Following review of your message, it appears your husband might be inadmissible to Canada. You did not specify what offense your husband committed in Canada, nor do we know when he committed the offense. The type of infraction and the date of the facts, arrest, sentence conclusion, etc. are important elements to review any possibilities of rehabilitation and assessment of inadmissibility for criminality. Moreover, your husband overstayed for several years in Canada. If he worked while being in Canada as a visitor, he also worked illegally in Canada. We advise you to seek legal advice through a consultation providing more details before starting an immigration process for your husband. To obtain an exact assessment of your case, you may book a paid consultation appointment with our team. We charge USD $99.95 for up to 30-minutes consultation.
