Toronto is very cheap comperitively edmonton calgary etc. Odd jobs are there in plenty. social life is much better ,dont feel as if you are in home country. hordes of indians etc etc. rents are resonable. it is most advance city in canada.

HI,

I too have got my visa stamped and am moving to Calgary from India on the 24th April. My choice, after  a lot of research is Calagry for the following reasons:

1) Toronto is too crowded & competition for available jobs is fierce.

2) Because of the stiff competition, payscales r much lower than in other metros.

3) Its expensive to  stay in Torornto & outskirt areas will require a lot of travelling thereby reducing ur free time.

4) Health insurance is after 3 months from the date u land in Ontario....

Regards,
