Biometrics at ASC/ USA

I applied for a Canadian visitor visa in USA. I received official letter to take the biometrics in any US application service center (ASC). I did that but I want to know, the biometrics are sent automatically from the US ASC to the Canadian Consulate? Or I have to send the letter that got stamped in the ASC? 
I didn't see any instructions on sending the letter back so I want to be sure that my Biometrics are sent.
