Hey, I am a newbie in this forum. I am looking for some advice on choosing my career. One of my friend in Canada invited me to join a post graduate program in Toronto. He has permanent visa and staying in Canada for more than 4 years. According to me, I have graduated in business management from US. My concern is that, if I come to Canada with a student visa, can I do some part time job. My friend told me that it is possible but requires permission from government side. He also suggested me to consult with a Matthew Jeffery, an immigration lawyer from Canada. But I am still confused about taking a decision on this. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Well dear it is possible to work if you come to Canada on a study visa and for this you have to apply for a student-work visa.

Yes..! as a student you can work 20 hours a week during your Student visa period...but their also are some rules you have to follow (take seriously) to work on/off-campus
