Hi,Has anyone applied for an open work permit under the spousal sponsorship? I sent my application for PR and OWP in February -- it was actually submitted in October, but returned due a missing signature.

According to the site, my application for PR is pending but when I call to get a status on my OWP I hear the same thing: 4 month processing time.

The issue now is that I have an offer from a Canadian employer, and they are willing to wait on the OWP but ask for updates weekly.

The agent I spoke to at CIC yesterday said they are no longer sharing updates on files, unless processing times have passed.

Is this accurate and has anyone received their OWP yet based on a February/March application?
