Hi,

Pls inform me regarding the issue of a day spent in Canada prior to getting PR which may be counted as half a day towards fulfilling requirement of 2 yrs out of 5. When does this prior time or days you visited Canada before getting PR does not become valid to use?

You are mistaken on this issue.
To keep PR status, you need to reside in Canada for at least 2 years (730 days) for 5 years after you become PR.

You are probably thinking about citizenship residency requirement. You can use days spent in Canada prior to becoming a PR to apply for citizenship. Those days are counted as half a day, to max of one year, and it has to occur within 4 years prior to applying for citizenship.
