pr application

i am currently living and working in Canada and have a valid work visa. 
i have applied for pr and am as far as having done my medical. 
can i leave Canada to work in Europe for 6 months and still have my application approved if i am not in Canada . i will travel back to Canada every 6 weeks for a 2 week period. 
once i have pr i plan to be full time in Canada. 
my family will remain full time in Canada and also have pr application in the system
