This is a very informative site and I am thankful for any reply to my question.
Both myself and my wife have PR status but am currently not in Canada. My PR status expires in 2021. I plan to leave my home country next year. What happens if my wife gets pregnant and delivers before our planned return trip? While we will have PR cards, our baby will not.. my preference is for all of us (me, wife and baby) to be in Canada at the same time... could this be possible? Thanks again for your help...

Hi
1. Assuming your child will not be visitor visa exempt, you will have to apply for a TRV (visitor visa) and if refused (likely) then a TRP (Temporary REsident Permit). If it is refused, then one of you will have to return to Canada and sponsor the child. |
