Dear All,
I would like to move to Canada and live there permanently with Canadian citizenship. 1) Does anybody has any idea of PR consultants based in Canada who specializes in assisting foreign nationals? 2)I have got one contact. They call themselves Multi Dimension Consulting (MDCCanada.ca). Anybody aware of this consultant? if yes, can anybody tell me whether they are genuine and reliable? Any help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Prague.

Way too early to be looking at citizenship. The immigration process itself poses some substantial hurdles and takes time, and after actually coming to Canada to live it takes a minimum of four years physical presence in Canada to become eligible for Canadian citizenship. Better to review what avenues there are to immigrate to Canada at the CIC website, at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp, to get a rough idea of what is appropriate for you and then pose questions in the respective forums here for immigration, probably the "Skilled Worker / Independent Immigration" conference/forum. Even if you use a consultant, it is important to educate yourself as much as you can about the process, the requirements, and so on. The CIC website (linked above) has a lot of information. Take your time to review and digest the information. Personally I am not at all fond of "consultants," even though it is very likely there are many who are reputable, competent, and who will provide good service for a reasonable fee. Just that in my view, there are too many who lack in one or more key respects or who otherwise exploit those with dreams of a life in a great country like Canada. But even if one uses an immigration service provided by a Canadian immigration lawyer, there is no guarantee. I would suggest a robust Internet search for information about any prospective consultant or lawyer before engaging that consultant or lawyer. As for consultants in particular: be sure the consultant is an authorized representative; see the CIC web page titled "Find out if your representative is authorized" at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/verify-rep.asp. Also see particular CIC web pages regarding use of a representative, including the following: "Learn about using a representative" at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/index.asp "Use an authorized representative" at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/rep-who.asp "Choose a representative" at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/rep-choose.asp |

Bureaucracy is what bureaucracy does, or When in doubt, follow the instructions. Otherwise, follow the instructions.
BTW: Not an expert, not a Can. lawyer, never worked in immigration |
