Hi All,
My fiancee is in Australia and she holds an Indian Passport. Can she apply for a Canadian student Visa from Australia or she has to go back to India to apply. I am currently ineligible to sponsor her and hence I am thinking of calling her here on a student visa for a year. Please advise. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kabir

She can apply from Australia if she has been legally admitted there for at least one full year.

Hi
1. No, you don't have to be legally admitted for 1 year to apply for a visitor/study/work permit, only for PR. 2. The OP's fiancee may find it difficult to be approved with the old bugaboo "no attachments to Australia" when she applies. |
