Considering the case on PNP nomination for PEI,
1. Will it be disadvantages if you are working on a work permit outside PEI province and applying for a PEI PNP? Will they think that the person might not settle in PEI? 2. For PEI PNP how does PEI check if you have settled inside or outside of the province? Thanks. |

If you are working in another province, PEI might ask you to prove
your intention to reside in the province as they will want to
ensure that you are planning to settle in PEI. If PEI doesn't
request proof of intention to reside in the province, CIC will as
they want to ensure that a candidates who is nominated by a
province will indeed move to the province in question when they
receive their permanent residency.
PEI can verify that you have settled or not in the province by request documents from you such as proof of employment, apartment lease, etc. Please read more about intention to settle and mobility here: http://www.immigration.ca/ Please read our editorials on this program: http://www.immigration.ca/p-e- Please also note that this program will be changing shortly: |
