Hi, My and my parents application was submitted 2005; me as a dependent. (By my Sister from Canada)
After that I got Study permit and then work permit so completed my School in Canada then now I am working in Canada. We recently got Visa. Now Do I need to accompany my parents while entering Canada from Airport, or I can stay in Canada and later when they enter Canada I can go Buffalo or some other port for my PR. Please help.... thanks

Hi
1. After your parents "land" then you can go to a border port of entry or make an appointment at an inland CIC to "land". YOu don't have to accompany them when they "land", you just can't "land" before them. |

Hi I had one last question, as I mentioned I am in Canada on Work permit; I recently lost my post-grad work permit. Although I do have my work permit "SCANNED COPY" with me, but I couldn't find the original copy. I was accepted for PR as my Mother's dependent but my parents are not here yet.
So, should I apply for a replacement Work permit before going to CIC??? Do I have to do Police report for Work permit??? please let me know, your answer will be very helpful for me. thanks |

You can request a replacement document, although I would expect a copy to be sufficient for most purposes (CIC and CBSA can just verify your document in the computer, which is why CIC is moving away from protected forms and towards plain paper forms).
To request a replacement: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certcopy.asp Good luck! |
