Hello all,
My name is Gabriel, I'm currently living in Vancouver and recently I extended my study and work permit until end of 2013. Before starting my new course I would like to go back to my home country and visit my parents and friends for a couple of weeks. My visa expired together with my old study/work permits on May 10th and now I only have my new study/work permits. Will this make me able to re enter Canada? If no, what should I do and how? I went to the immigration office here in Vancouver (1148 Hornby Street) but door was closed and there was a sign saying that entrance in the building is only allowed with appointment, but there is no instructions on how to make an appointment! I looked all over the CIC website but found nothing related to scheduling appointments. Anyone know how can I do that? Thanks! |

Hi
1. If you require a TRV (visitor visa) to enter Canada, then you require a new TRV before entry. 2. With a valid study/work permit, you can apply to OPP Ottawa or you will have to apply at the Canadian office responsible for your country of residence. 3. If you are from a TRV exempt country, then all you need is your study permit and passport. 4. CIC no longer makes information appointments. |
