Hello.
I'm Spanish and I am applying for a study permit to Canada. Two questions: - I'm supposed to submit a copy of the main passport page of myself and my main family members... my parents DON'T happen to have a passport. Is that Ok if I send a fotocopy of their national ID cards instead? - Do I have to submit a criminal record with my documents? Thanks a million |

I may have been out of the loop on latest requirements for student visa applications, but this is the first time I am hearing an applicant for a study permit is being requested passport copies of his/her parents.
I do not think they require passport information for your parents; they have nothing to do with your study permit. Edited by MajidS - 02 Jun 2012 at 7:45pm |

Hi
You are reading it wrong. If you have a spouse and children, they want copies of their passports, not you parents. |
