My CAIPS NOTE is old but it should be treated as new as there was some reference regarding medicals also (IMM 1017S REQUESTED - decision to get the medicals done has been taken but I never received medical papers). Shall be grateful if somebody throw some light on my case. I repeat my question. It is written 1 against PSDEC and 0 against SELDEC. Kindly enlighten me on this aspect. Wheter my case will be returned.

Hello jaskiratjassi

sometimes ago suviz had posted a detailed analysis on this topic in 2004 thread and his analysis seems right. you should search for that post which is 15-20 days old or you can message him in private.
My personal view is that you should fall in 20000's list not only you but all 2004-05 applicants who updated information long back are in safe zone.according to your caips your psdec is 1 but seldec is 0 which according to the link which suviz provided in his post is a technical glitz and in old caips even if seldec is done it won't show only psdec can be seen. hope for the best.BTW when did you apply and updated documents ?

Deliberately CHC has not cleared the picture of "20000" applicants.

If we read what it says "For those who have passed the selection criteria stage – approximately 20,000 people – CIC will continue processing their applications until they are approved for entry into Canada or not."
Seems there will be not a good situation for those 20K as well.... They will again wait for unknown period.

But still we can say those 20K are lucky among 300K.

All those who have submitted updations have in their caips similar decsions i.e SEL 0, PS 1 AND MEDICALS REQUESTED ; NOTHING MENTIONED.  IT IS COMPLETE ONLY IF MEDICALS REQUESTED IS 1 OTHER WISE ONLY FORMS ARE COMPLETED IN CAIPS. MY STATUS IS ALSO SAME IN MY CAIPS DATED FEB 2010. However i agree with aneet that all 2004 who have updated are included in 20000.

Hi Nirmal Ji,

I am 2004 applicant and I updated my docs in June 2009.

My consultants is saying the same "2004 / applicants who updated docs are safe".

But this "SAFE" is not a fool proof as CHC is not saying any fixed time to finalize these cases.

Moreover not sure if they give a positive result after few more years of wait.

So dear we all are in a Bad situation.
