Just wanted to give an update on my file...I received an email from Buffalo on 3/15 that they received my application. My E-Cas was updated yesterday and now shows "In Process" and that my medical was received :) And the waiting continues.......

Hey All,

Today my spouse received the passport submission request letter, and she'll be mailing the passport to New Delhi tomorrow. I've couple of queries surrounding the submission, and I would appreciate if someone can answer.

1. The letter asks to attach the 'labels bearing the bar code and file number' with the cover letter, but my spouse didn't find any extra labels within the envelope. One such label is there but it is pasted on the request letter itself, and obviously it cannot be scanned, printed and pasted on the cover letter. So should she be just quoting the file number at the top of the cover letter?

2. The Right of Permanent Residence fee and the police clearance certificate are already submitted. Should I mention the same in the cover letter?

3. Should I use the PO Box number to mail passport+copy of the ppr letter+cover letter to Canadian High Commission in New Delhi?

Thanks.

Hey everybody!

I just got my first e-CAS access today. It shows "decision made" saying that a letter was sent to me on March 29 without saying what the decision is. Shouldn't they post that on e-cas? I now have to wait until next week when the letter gets here... So much excitement... :)

Was this the normal case for all of you that got approved as sponsors?

Cheers!

Congrats vladalex.......... Yup...That's the case with everyone. I believe the decision is positive, and the letter will tell you that your spouse's file has been transferred to the embassy, which you specified while filling the forms for processing of the application.

Ok then, thanks a lot for your answer. I wonder how long it will take until the next e-cas update, or the next step :)

All the best and good luck to everyone!
