how to become live in caregiver from in canada

Is it possible to transfer from having a temporary work visa to a live in caregiver program visa as a nanny for kids? no experience with kids, but lots of paid nursing and health care aide work. do i just follow normal application for live in caregiver? do i have to leave the country to make applciation? will i get back in? my work visa just expired, can i get it extended? not working now.
