Yeeeeyyyy!!! I LANDED!!! That's it, the whole process done in 9 months!! Piece of cake!

The "landing interview" was very quick and smooth. You go there and everyone that lands the same day enter one big conference room and they call each person one by one, you give the documents (passport, payment and photo), sign the paper and that's it! You don't have to bother with paying before, you can pay there directly. Immediately after signing the landing document a person comes and gives you a Permanent SIN card.
Sitting in the waiting area was longer than the "interview".
There are only 2 questions:
1. Do you have any dependents that are not in the application?
2. Have you committed any crime while staying in Canada?
They said in 6-8 weeks I should receive the PR card.
This summer I can go and see my family in Macedonia!! Yeeyyy!!!

You just paid there at the reception. The officer will ask to see the recepit before they start the landing process. And we paid by credit card.

I have a question. Tomorrow is my landing interview. I was wondering what is the best way to do the payment for PR card- cash or credit card? And where should you make the payment- is there online or should be directly there?

Thanks so much :) ... I will start looking up the locations and making appointments if need be for June.

I will definitely ask more and I hope I get some great people like you helping me out!

So, if your interview is done - When do they tell you that you are a landed?

Rdanny, don't worry, it'll be soon. Was your application you transferred to a local office?

No, Vegreville still has not received my medicals yet, which I got done on April 23rd. I am waiting eagerly for them to schedule an appointment for me here in Calgary. Ideally I'd like to travel in July.

deppi938, congratulations! Clap

I am still waiting for the interview to be scheduled. Can you please come back to the forum once you have re-entered Canada without the actual PR-Card and tell me how it went? I have similar plans, I'd like to travel abroad once I get PR status, but I do not want to wait for the card to arrive.
