After Apply for Extensions?!

Hi.. I am in Canada with work permit that will end this month. I've applied for renewal of work visa and also applied for PR under common law. the border stamp (entry in Canada) in my passport is up to the 14th of this month. What should I do to keep me legal? I know that after the applications are submitted, we can stay in the country, but if the stamp is over, should I contact to any other entity? or what to do before the border stamp finish?
