Please can you advice me on my 2 queries:

[1] Can you advice if the Medical Practitioner require original passports for taking the medical examination?

[2] I submitted my update documents on 12-Oct-09. I checked the status of my immigration file online and it says: "We started processing your application on July 19, 2007. " - does this mean that they haven't received my update documents?  - My submission deadline is tonight, should I be worried?

I am not sure about the passports query, but ECAS status is not a concern. I sent my documents in June 2009 and my ECAS status still shows the same as it was in Aug 2007. No change in ECAS.

Hi Nina and Chintu,
 
Well Nina you dont need the original passport with you when doing medical. I am going today to do medical for my self and my family. I called the DMP and they advised me to bring 3 passport size photos, passport copies and if wearing glasses thats it we need to take with us and of course the medical forms which we received from CIC london office.
 
I will update you my experience of medical.

i got AOR on sep 2007 , so i asked london office if they sent me the update letter , after 8 days they sent me an email that they sent a letter on oct 26 to my mailing address
 
i didnt get any thing yet
 
do u think that letter is the update letter

Thanks Batra for the kind words. I too was tensed initially when I saw the old forum had been locked. But in quick time I realized and hence created the same thread on this new forum.
 
I wished to put a message of the transition at the old DF but could not as it was LOCKED.
 
Anyways, lets hope this new DF brings us good luck too.
