Does anyone know why the St. Clair office in Toronto is no longer holding citizenship ceremonies?

If I am not wrong, I noticed a couple of months ago too, few events were posted for St Claire, compared to other offices. Do not know what's going on

To obtain more information about your case(s), you can do information requests.

For CIC Access to Information, including link to their form: CIC web page for Access to information. This, however, only gets you the GCMS/FOSS records; not sure if they will show much more than you were told by a CIC rep.

To obtain personal information from CIC in more detail than GCMS/FOSS, see the form and information linked at this Treasury Board page for Personal Information requests. This request will need to be carefully composed, but it should get you more than just the GCMS/FOSS. How much more I do not as yet know. I am hoping that applicants who have gotten RQ, or who like yourself have encountered an inordinate delay in the processing of your application, will make these detailed requests and report back here how that has worked out for them.

There is a simple complaint process if CIC does not timely or adequately respond to the requests.

Another useful web page that may answer most questions about making information requests generally is the infosource.gc.ca site.

Bureaucracy is what bureaucracy does, or When in doubt, follow the instructions. Otherwise, follow the instructions.

BTW: Not an expert, not a Can. lawyer, never worked in immigration

Here is my timeline (applied in Vancouver, but move to Toronto long before "in process". Office was St. Clair. I should praise St. Clair Office for its highly commendable efficiency):

Received:   June 6th, 2011
In Process:   April 25th, 2012
Transferred to St. Clair:   May 30th, 2012 (I asked it out via call center)
Test Letter Sent:  Sep 17th, 2012
Test Date:  Oct 1st, 2012
Oath Letter Sent: Oct 4th, 2012
Oath:  Oct 18th, 2012

My Parents' Timeline (Vancouver Office):

Received:  April 29th, 2011
In Process:  March 15th, 2012
Interview (They are above 65):  July 31st, 2012 (but this item is not updated in eCas)
Oath Letter sent: Sep 24th, 2012
Oath: Oct 10th, 2012
