What does cap reached means

Hello 
Dear All

I am in process to apply for Skilled migrant class  under Professional Occupation in Business Services to Management (I Am Telecom Engineer working in manager cadre for nine years now). The applications however are not entertained any more because the cap has been reached. My question is when the new year starts for which fresh applications against 1000 eligible applications are processed.

	The cap will be reset on June 26, 2011 with a new list of eligible occupations
