Hi Everyone,
I have some happy news. My husband received his Notice of Citizenship Test and Oath, scheduled for November 23. His eCAS is not updated yet but we got the paper notice in the mail today. His test is scheduled for the morning and the Oath ceremony in the afternoon on the same day, November 23. Cheers, Frankie |

Okay,
Everything went well. I had my test in the morning and the ceremony in the afternoon of the same day (Today). I want to share with the following. Officers are really nice and just be happy and confident talking to them, we had 3 young ladies today and they are very helpful. I wont comment in the test as it is really easy if you read the book, some question are common sense. NO NEED for Birth Certificate (passport is enough) and NO NEED for land immigrant papers except the PR. I lost my IMM 5292 and applied for certified but never received. I just show them a normal copy and was ont required. PR cover everything. I heard some people translate all the stamps in their passport, please save your money and dont do it. the officer has all your history even with canadian border stamps in your passport. Hope the above will help you guys, Just be positive the day of your test and you will do it. all the best and many thanks for all the advice Regards Freeman |

I took my test on June 28 but haven't heard anything from CIC Calgary. I wonder if I should send them a fax?

I applied for my passport straight after my oath ceremony on October 21st and it arrived today! It brought back all the happy feelings from the day of the oath, especially the 'nationality - Canadian' part. Haha. Now I'm just ITCHING to go on a trip!
