they ask for passports only after security checks are over. Delay could be due to rush for student visas. normally they do not take more then 3 weeks. did u send any email to them regarding the delay?

Thank you. I really appreciate your advice. Unfortunately, there is no CIC session in my country.   However, I do have friends in Canada who are going to help me settle down.

Cheers!

Hi Binod,

Congrats for getting PPR. If your Visa Office is Delhi, you can attend CIC session in Delhi also. It is very useful for new immigrants who are landing in Canada shortly. It will help you a lot when you go there. You will also get some important addresses of Canada from the CIC people during sessions. Generally, session is held for 3 days. Do attend the sessions.

Good Luck.

Hi Congratulations..may god give u success in life.

I am in US and me and my husband are planning to apply for skilled workers visa. All the lawyers and attorneys say u will go through u have minimum points bla bla...I am looking for a sincere advice as how the process goes and what documentation is required. Is it important to take attorney or agents help, how does verification happens and all.And yes i have heard once u apply u  get PR in 9-12 months so why u got it so delayed.

If you can answer and guide me through this that would be a great help to me.Thankyou so much.I will wait for your reply.
