Hi

Please confirm if one in US, holding Pakistani passport with US B1/B2 five years multiple visa, can visit Canada by road  by getting Canadian visit visa at US-Canadian border.

Would appreciate quick response.

Unless one is from a visa waiver country (which is not the case for Pakistan) I don't think one can show up at the border and expect a TRV on the spot. I may be wrong though because I have no experience in this.

It is confusing that is why the query has been posted here. Some saying if one has 5 years multiple, he or she can get TRV at the border and some, including you, saying it may not be possible. 

One more thing if you can confirm, is it possible to apply for TRV from any Canadian consulate in US, lets say from NY, while in US on B1/B2 status?

1. No you can't apply at the Border.
2. You can apply at any Canadian office in the US.
