I am a Canadian citizen and resident. My girlfriend is a U.S. citizen and resident. We have been together for over 10 years; we spend all of our free time together here in Canada or traveling. She would like to retire and move to Canada. She has reasonably good finances but not enough to be really self supporting without working. I can easily support her and plan to do so. I am prepared to provided guarantees to this effect.

Can anyone advise me on the best process for immigration ?

Easiest way would be for you to sponsor her through family class:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

However in order for her to qualify for sponsorship, you either have to be married or be common law (have lived together for a minimum of one full year).
Outland Spousal (Buffalo):
App recd: 05/28/2010
Sponsor approved: 06/28/2010
Processing started: 08/19/2010
Passport request: 10/01/2010
Landed: 10/05/2010
