why did cic have to redo Background/securitycheck

hello everyone  i have inland application just go my AIP  but the cic  said they have to do the Background/security check again one was done in 2008 ,since then have not  left canada did any one know why they have to do it again or is just for them delay the application again

The background checks do expire... regardless of whether or not you've left the country.  It's just a part of the process.  Medicals expire too... so don't be surprised if you get asked for a new medical.

Harmonia  they have also ask me to do the medical  again too
