Hi All,

 

Need some serious help. I applied for Canadian immigration under Provincial nomination program. My nomination was approved from province late last year and applied for federal immigration process at Islamabad Canadian consulate. Later my file is transferred to CIC-London. I got my Medicals done in Sept, 2010.

Now, I recently got married and not sure how to update CIC-London or Should I wait for the PPR. I understand that if I don’t update CIC London now I may get in trouble later, like if I try to sponsor my spouse once I land in Canada it may lead to issues like misrepresentation and concealing of facts.

Please suggest what I should do at this point. I am concerned that updating CIC with change of my martial status may lead to starting the process of my spouse's immigration from scratch. I am not sure what would be the next steps if I just send CIC a letter stating that I got married on this date. Would I need to resubmit my whole immigration application again? Any one have any idea how much time would this add to my current application process.

I am really confused and not sure what to do next, any help or guidance is highly appreciated.

You must inform the London office right away about your marriage, as your spouse will have to be medically examined as well and her documentation must also be submitted to the visa office.
