Without PR status you need to enroll as international student, means heavy fees and boarding.

Now we moved towards welcome counter where a gentlemen informed me about Canada Health card, child tax benefit and gave me some books and flier regarding newcomers...

After that we took 5 carts for our luggage and one cart charged CD 2 dollar and on the way to came out from airport The custom officer asked me about goods to follow list and I replied no I dont have the list right now ( as i forgot to bring many things with me , i will share it later)... So the officer humbly said that no problem u can submit it  within 6 months...so finally we came out  where Mr.bash was waiting for us... and we moved towards the motel... we hired two rooms (fully furnished) of motel in Mississauga for 7 days by paying 700 dollars.

Now,We rented an apartment and its really a reasonable and suitable one... a 3 bedroom apartment located at north york with all the basic facilities like bus stop, public library, park, york university and shopping malls.... it is costing me 1179 $ a month including all utilities.....Phone/net/cable will cost you almost 100 $...you can avail these facilities from rogers/bells..we have applied for SIN card, child benefit, health card, opened a bank account and registered ourselves in YMCA.

Another loss was that my  new laptop was damaged in the first week after landing.. Its original price here is 850 $ but when i went to the market, the shopkeepers demanded 200$ and 300$ for repairing it, ...it was a huge amount and was a great shock for me.. as internet and laptop is a basic need here... even You can not claim the warranty here no matter you are having a world wide warrant with u.... So at last I paid 150 $ though it was not a big problem but still they charged 150 $...lol

Job situation is critical here. We are unable to find a survival job even. Food here is very cheap. Other small house hold accessories are easily available here in low prices like knives, hangers, pots, pans, staplers, mats, soaps, tooth brushes/pastes , spoons,forks, key chains, tooth picks, towels,combs etc so better to get these small items from here.its better to bring Clothes, shoes, plastic sleepers, curtains, mattresses ( if possible as it is very expensive here, nearly 200+ $ for 1 mattress ), lota (its mandatory if u are not used to European style washrooms), bedsheets, pillows, a piece of carpet or darri, adapters ( if u are having some electronic devices with u) , wall clocks, blankets or quilts. In kitchen items u must have to bring cooker, degchi's, tava, cutlery sets, dinner sets ( try to bring plastic sets). I will keep adding in my posts when ever i will find something useful.

Are they easily available after getting certification of an HR Specialist from HR Institute of Alberta...??? for peole like us ..I mean new immigrants without Canadian experience or with minimum / less canadian experience..?
 
Plz let me have your views based on personal observation or information through reliable sources.
I am asking this question because I am also a future Albertan / Calgarian :)

Dear all Seniors,
 
i am going to marry in September and my e-case status is "Received by visa office" file transfered to London as on 30th jun 2010 all timelines are also mentioned bellow. now i wana add my wife in my current active application please advise what should i do.
 
what Forms should i submit?
what documents should i submit?
Fee Payment procedure at this stage?
is there any need to change her CNIC and Passport with my name?
and any other tip which can save time and avoid any future complications in case.

Cheeta first you celebrate marriage than after marriage, immediately register yours Nikka Nama in in Union Coucil or Muncilpal committee which one is available near in yours residence area then get certificate for enterance of yours Nikka Nama in Union Coucil or Muncipal and then go to NADAR Office along with attested photocopy of Nika Nama ,photocopy of certificate in UC or Muncpal along with yours new wife in NADARA office where they will demand the Nika Nama and Origional CNIC cards of both of you after they will take the fingerprints and photos of you and then will issue you CNIC, THEN AFTER CHANGING THE NAME OF FATHER IN REPLACE HUSBAND in yours wife card, APPLY FOR PASSPORT. Very important  for CHC are,  yours Nika Nama ,Certificate of enterance of yours marriage in Union Council or Muncipal Committee , Photograph of marriage or video films after this completion you will be advised next that are first job for you- Without entrance of Bith or marriage in Union Coucil of Muncipal Committee CHC did not consider the date of birth on matric or CNIC but it is very important that entry date after birth or marriage late, more than two months, is not valid, so after marriage, entry should be before two months or as soon as possible other wise late entry on certificate CHC DID NOT CONSIDER. Regards -Asghar Niazi

is it legal/safe to send PR cards through DHL/Fedex from canada? Any body have experience, Pls share?

Dear MasoodSmile AOCUM Big smile actually after 27 February, 2008, CIC changed the process of immigration named it Fast Track which procedure is totally different than the old one, although papers or documents requirements are the same and it has been in notice of Government of Canada that this Fast Track procedure also did not solve the problem of backlog and Government of Canada feeling that it is not just to leave the previous years applicant and process new one with in 12 months and every day statements by the Canadian Government's Ministers are coming on this unjust, so they have stoped the further more process due to the same backlog and considering new effective process till October,2010. MasoodLOL I am old member of this discussion forum I was registered in july 2007 in old version which has been locked and now shifted in this new one and I know the importance of this forum .It is fact that this forum has become heavy due to mixing of both groups of applicants and it should be not mind to speak truth.For this pupose separate thread created to save the time because every body wants to read the relevent information from the same type of group.
