Documents Not in English - Question

Just a quick question for those that have submitted their application successfully.
Do documents such as marriage certificate, birth certificates and other documents not in English have to be translated by a certified translator?

Also, can I help fill out the spouse questionnaire and sign at the bottom or do we have to go through a certified translator?
