Just want to check whether some one has information about the category 1122.  How CIC is going to gauge first thousand applications and how the cut-off will be notified. I have checked CIC website but there is no clear information available in this respect.

All applications will be received at one location (Sydney, Nova Scotia).

Counting of complete and eligible received applications began on the morning of June 26th 2010 and will end on June 30th 2011.
If the 1000 cap is reached on any day for NOC 1122, all complete and eligible NOC 1122 applications that were received on that day will also be eligible for processing.

Example duties for NOC 1122 are provided here:
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=1122

Example Job titles for NOC 1122 are provided here:
http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/ViewAllTitlesQuickSearch.aspx?val=1&val1=1122&val65=1122

Hope this helps.

are you sure about returning the application with fees, because i head that they would postpone the application to next year and first  preference would be given to these applications

Rather than what you heard, it is better to go with what CIC says

"If your application is:
 incomplete or;
 the occupation you are applying under has reached the allowable limit under category 1,
your entire package (including your payment) will be returned to you with a letter explaining why it is being returned
