My husband was called in for June 23rd, no interview was done, and was told to be back that afternoon to pick up his visa.

The husband of a FB friend just received his visa without interview after 4 months of treatment in Havana .. Suerte amiga !

Thank you !!! I hope it is only 4 months for us as well!
His application was received in Havana APRIL 1st , 2011 all of his paperwork is there. Police records and medical reports. I ask the ANgels.. I have been to Cuba 14 times since last March .. need to have him here xoxo

hy MIchele, by my side it took 4 months and this includes the interview we have been very lucky and now very happy I know that now, it around 6-7 months to get it from the time your file is in Havana until your husband gets his visa Suerte amiga ! You can come in this Facebook group if you care : 170 members, canadian man and woman who talk about the same thing, who are living the same tahing

It took my husband 10+ months to arrive, from the time we submitted the paperwork to Mississauga. However, he had to have a security interview, and they only do that in Havana twice per year.
If there are no security concerns and the paperwork is complete, I think it will be faster for others, but you can check the Canada Immigration website for approximate times. |

Began processing in Havana, April 14th Interview in Havana, July 14th Security Interview in Havana Nov. 18th. Visa granted Dec. 22nd. Arrived in Canada Jan. 23, 2011 |

I think the worst for them is not the snow but the cold temp. My husband hate calor tambien pero ne se gusto - 30 .....

@ Juan Fulano - it's funny - my husband is SO excited about the snow and the winter. He does not like the heat in the Havana summer, but what will he think of the reality here? I am very curious about his reaction...jajaja

And sometimes it can be longer because they have to check mas cosas.. The ones I know who takes 2 months were with no children, no mariage before.. nada but if you get your visa like us in 4 months.. it is not so bad |
