Does any one know what the different "case types" are? For example on my Visitors Record it says Case Type 10, and on the ecas tracker I use (matthew Carol) when my application showed up as "In Process" my case type was 10..now its changed to a Case Type 4..does anyone know what this means?

=o I can't find anything like that, only CAIPS notes which you probably already have found.

I looked through the CAIPS codes also and couldn't find anything to explain a case type of "10". There are "4"s used throughout the coding, but an evaluation category that contains a "4" but not a "10" couldn't be used to explain the change to a "4". In other words, for example, there are "Selection Decision" codes (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc) used throughout CAIPS for things like the security decision and the medical decision. Most of those categories have a "4" - but none of them have a "10". A code "4" under Medical Decision means, 'Dependent failed' . . . but, because there is no "10" in that category, it can't be applicable. Same for all of the others - no "10" anywhere.

I too looked through FOSS/CAIPS and found nothing..I am wondering if CIC Uses Quick reference codes for applications/visas..for example;
Case Type 10 - Visitors Record with no authorization to work or study in Canada and perhaps Case Type 9 could be Study Permit *(Just speculating I have no Idea if A Study Permit says Case type 9) and so on for each different type of application for Permanent Residency or Temporary Residency etc.. So Case Type 4 could be Family Class Permanent Residency Application.. Do you think this is possible? |
