The best bet is to use a relative's or friend's home address. If not, use a lawyer's address.
You don't necessarily need to stay in the country to receive the PR card. It will be mailed to the address you provide.
In Oct 2009, my friend and her family were down and they used their brother's home address where the PR card was mailed. I was going down on vacation in Jan 2010 and carried their PR card with me.
Hope this helps!

How long does it take to receive the PR? Also, what I waited for 6 weeks but didn't got the PR. Then I go out Canada. How to apply? is it acceptable to say: never received, or lost? |

Hi,
I am planing for landing in Toronto next week sometime. I will only stay there over the weekend and then will come back to USA to wrap up things and then will move to Canada in 2-3 months. I know I need an address to receive my PR card in Canada.
I do not have any friend or relative in Canada.
Can I use any "Rent a Mailing address service/ Temporary Mailing Address in Canada" like http://www.mailnetwork.com/atemporary.html
Any advice or experiences? OR Can I give the address of my lawyer in Canada to receive my PR Card? Thanks! |
