Parent file processing like Turtle

It is very frustrating. Parent files not moving at all. 

When I applied in 2006 the Total processing time was about 24 month (17 month in Mississauga and 8-10 month in New delhi) now it is already more than 4 years and still nothing ??? 

If cic continue with same way then think for pwople appling now   … they have to wait for 8 years!!!!!!

	Parent sponsorship is understandably not a priority. It's been almost 3 years now just waiting for my file to be opened at Mississauga. By following the dates on the CIC website you can see they pause processing this category fairly often. If you applied in 2006 then your file must be at least opened in Mississauga (as of now they are processing files received until June 22, 2007), is that the case ?

	Yes file was approved by CIC mississauga in Feb 2009 and sent to Delhi Mar 2009. but now problem is even CIC, Delhi which is not moving. evey three month moving only 1 month.

	I have received a letter and checked in CIC web site displaying this - "We received your application to sponsor XXXX XXX on November 14, 2008. We started processing your application on March 05, 2010." What does that mean?

	isometric, it would be my understanding that your CIC office began processing your file on March 5th of 2010, and your processing time begins then. congrats! :-D

	eCAS shows: We received your application to sponsor <fathers-name> on <DD-MONTH-2009>. Processing not begun yet, just surprised to see that it is logged on eCAS, epxecting another 2 years before processing at CPC-M begins.

	Yes this is strange, I've read about many people applying in 2008 having access to eCAS somehow, while my file that was sent Nov 2007 can't be seen on eCAS yet. I'm sure everything will sort out eventually but at least they should have some consistency ...
