Try to be patient. Hopefully the processing will start soon. You have no control over it so try not to let it get you down.

Lonely -
If you go to the Paris Visa Office's website
and look under processing times - they clearly state:

Permanent Residence Application

We are currently experiencing delays in the first steps of processing for permanent residence applications.  Please be assured that the total processing time remains unchanged.

  • within 4 months, a letter is sent acknowledging receipt of the application and giving the personal file number
  • processing priority is based on the category (Family, Refugee, Skilled Worker, Business etc.) and the date on which the file is received

NOTE: this could mean 4 months without ANY information - not even on ECAS.  Tunisianbride went through the Paris office - so she might be able to provide insight as to how long it took her to get any information on her file.  Eventually her ECAS did change - but I think it was only near the end (Decision Made).

Citizenship App Sent: December 2012
