- Do you really need the passport info of the guarenteer ? - what questions do they ask him/her when they call ? - is it true more often than not, they dont call them ? |

1) Absolutely, it is required. If none is provided, the passport application will be rejected.
2) They will ask how long the guarantor has known you (plus supporting questions), where you live and work, what you look like. The guarantor must be able to answer questions about you in general. They may also ask your guarantor how he/she came to know you (if your guarantor is a close relative who has known you for many years then the passport office may not ask for more info about this). 3) We really don't know how frequently they call guarantors, but it is equally important to choose someone you have known for at least two years.
