Hi friends.
My name is Dhruv Modi. I am in Canada on student visa. I am planning to marry in May 2011 to a girl on student visa here. So my marriage will be registered here. Will this affect my PR process? Me and my future partner had done B. Physiotherapy from India. So is it possible that my PR process will be delayed? or it will take more time than usual? or Is there any chances of rejection of PR? Please help me to solve this problem. I am very much confused because of this. Thank You |

Why don't you check the CIC website?
All the rules and regulations are explained clearly. www.cic.gc.ca |

Dhruv
Assuming both of you are on sutdent visa here and that your PR process is already in process, there should not be any reason for delay. If you have not applied for PR yet, then it will be wise to get married and apply. Lets say if you havre already applied, and if you get your PR before May 2011, then you can always sponsor her after your marriage. But if you do not get your PR by then, you will have to let CIC know after your marriage and include her in the application. The fact that you are adding her whiole is case is in progress will slightly delay the process. Not sure why you are so confused but if you get your act right, there should be no concerns and your process will be completed smoothly. |

I think this is what dhruv2285 is saying:
Today - dhruv2285 is in Canada on a student visa Jan 2011 - dhruv2285's future wife will arrive in Canada on a student visa after Jan 2011 - dhruv2285 and his future wife will marry after marriage - dhruv2285 wants to apply for PR |

Remember there is no guarantee she will get a TRV to come to Canada...as per your other thread in the Visit Visa section of this forum.
Check that thread for replies. |
